2012 Here we come
Simon - 13th February 2012
It's been a couple months since I updated you. Lots has been happening both online and offline Poker is really looking strong in 2012.
The hangover from Black Friday has lasted a long time and in some cases still there. GBT are looking to buy Full Tilt as a result we are getting daily updates revealing how badly the site was mismanaged, money stolen and members who may never see their money again. Others from that day have come out looking like shining lights. Pokerstars paid everyone straight away, started negotiating with the authorities and are stronger as a result.
The wire act and DOJ interpretation of it is the buzz word of the first few months of 2012. One thing is clear, online in the USA is about to happen, it really is now a when rather than if. It can only be a good thing. Allowing the online world and the offline world to interact officially on the biggest stage there is.
Whilst the USA is catching up to the rest of the world, the now leader in the gaming world Macau and Singapore which are now 1 and 2 ahead of Las Vegas have some of the biggest pots. Play a game in Macau and the chances are you willbe sitting at tables with world stars looking to take your money. Dont worry too much though just look at the results of all the big tournaments last year. UKIPT, EPT, WSOP all having new names on the winners lists, if you love your Poker, if you get good results in your local poker room and online buy into a main event tournament, you never know you may do well.
